THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIELS

 BY JORDAN HONEYCUTT

We were honored to be interviewed for this book and mentioned in various places.  This is a very well written book by Jordan Honeycutt and is available through AMAZON.  A kindle edition is also available.  As breeders, experiencing the various aspects of raising Cavaliers,  experience with the breed, conferring with our breeder friends, and of course, trial and error is part of the experience.  Cavaliers are a wonderful breed for young and old alike, they are gentle, smart, and seem to have the soul of a child.  Reading this book, delves in to the various nuances of the uniqueness of this breed.  Yet, each and every litter and each and every individual puppy, although comparible to their littermates, each one is uniquely different.  It truly is a joy to see them grow, mature, and become reflections of their parents and develop their own individual traits.  Habits.  Tells.  Preferences.  They are so much like little children and ultimately they'll have you trained in no time at all.  Again, we were honored to be a small contributor to this book and encourage all of our Cavalier parents to acquire a copy of this book for yourselves.  As always, not every instance is covered, but we leave ourselves always open for a phone call or email with a concern about your little one, no matter the age, no matter if you adopted from us or someone else.  Enjoy the read, we did.

FANTOM VAL'S CHARMING TREVOR

After you have made a selection of your puppy, comes the inevitable 'we can't wait to get our new puppy home', and for you as the new 'parents', it may seem like forever!!  But still this is a very important time for you and your new family member.  Come and visit them, let your new 'fur baby' get used to your voice, your scent, your touch.  We want to accomodate you as much as possible, but with feeding, bathing, grooming and taking our Cavaliers to the vet, we have to ask that you try if at all possible to schedule your visit on WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY or SUNDAY at 1pm for a one hour visit, allowing you time to start to develop a bond with your new little one.  If that is not a possibility due to work/life schedules, we will attempt to accomodate a different day, these bonding visits are very important to the puppy's comfort level with you, making their transition to you and your family so much easier.  We'll have an area set up in our living room with more than ample room to let them wander around and stretch their little legs and for you to play with and handle your new family member.
