TESTIMONIALS

November 18, 2012

I just wanted to write a short note of thanks to Val and Hank for allowing us to purchase and adopt two of their adorable ruby puppies. My husband Greg and I adopted one and our daughter Kristen adopted the other ruby sister. They will grow up knowing each other since we pup sit Kristen's puppies when she she is working. We were looking for a ruby Cavalier King Charles pup on the internet when we came across Val's website showing her adorable available puppies. We preferred to find puppies locally so we didn't have to ship them and put them through the stress of a flight. We drove to Cape Coral from Naples on Thursday to view the pups and Kristen came home with Olivia. Greg and I kept thinking about the other ruby sister so we called Val and we made the trip back to Cape Coral on Saturday to pick up Fiona. Olivia is now Lady Isabella or Izzy for short. Fiona is now Kylie. They have both been spayed. We feel like we have made new friends with Val and Hank. They were very kind and welcomed us into

their home to show us their dogs and puppies. We spent quite a bit of time there on both visits and feel they take excellent care of their dogs. They also go to the added expense of getting great vet care for all their dogs. They make sure the adults have all the health checks for the conditions that normally cause problems for this breed. You can tell they love their dogs and have devoted their lives to them. I would recommend to anyone looking for a Cavalier King Charles that they purchase it from Val.  She has kept in touch and has offered any help we might need in the future.  My daughter feels the same way so we all highly recommend this breeder.

Hi Val,

I just wanted to let you know that I took Kylie and Izzy into Harborside for their yearly check up today.  Dr. March, the owner, told me that Kylie is the healthiest of all our dogs.  He also said that Izzy's health is perfect.  I wanted you to know as it proves what good breeding you have.  They both get so excited when they get together and had to calm them down after picking up Izzy.  They were still excited at the vet as they love spending time with each other.  Kristy is going on a trip the end of the week for a few days.  Her dogs will be here with us and I'm sure Kylie and Izzy will be in heaven.

Thanks again for breeding such great pups.

Hi Val!
We just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how wonderfully "Georgie" is doing in his new home. He is just the sweetest dog! He's so very playful - and very cuddly - a terrific addition to our family!!
We're trying hard not to spoil him too much :) So far, he has a bed in almost every room (even the master bathroom - haha) because he loves to follow us around. Whatever room we happen to be in, Georgie immediately settles into the nearest bed to watch what's going on. He's so alert and so interested in everything around him - he's just the dearest dog!! I've attached a picture of Georgie in one of his new beds - he looks very content.
Thank you so much for everything! Ron and I were incredibly impressed with how diligently you followed up with us for weeks after Georgie arrived to make sure everything was going well. It's evident that you love your pups very much and it was so comforting to know that you were only a phone call away if we had a question. We just love our little Georgie and we think he will be very happy here :)
Thanks again - we'll keep in touch,    Carol and Ron K.

Hi Val!!

Great to hear from you :) Georgie is doing well. he and Rufus are quite the duo and have become quite close. We all go to the beach almost every day and George absolutely loves it. He knows what it means and LOVES riding in the golf cart. We're still working on some chewing issues but it's hard to get upset because he's so darn cute!! We just always have one of his bones handy to swap in for the piece of modeling or chair leg hahahaha. Take care,

Carol
Hi Val!
Yes, we did get the newsletter - thanks so much for remembering us!! Georgie is doing well and his best buddy, Rufus, is keeping him busy :) I've attached a photo of our two little boys for you. He is a VERY active little guy (we call him curious george) and to date, we've lost three door molding pieces hahaha. He does love to chew but he's learning (slowly but surely) that his bones are the best chew toy :)
He's pretty well trained now and LOVES the beach. If he has a chance to scamper into the garage, we find him ready and waiting in the golf cart - he is a hoot!
Hope all is well with you and please keep in touch!

Take care,   Carol

Hi Val and Hank!
Thank you for the photos and your kind words.Your email  sentiments truly choked me up;  I'm so glad you know Alexis went to a loving home and family.
Alexis did fabulously on the drive home.  There has not been any trembling or shaking ~ she has taken to us completely! In fact, she readily and happily allowed a couple of the older ladies on the block hold her too.  (It MADE their day, as you can understand).
She loves her food; and as you can see in the picture~ she is quite happy sitting in her cage  (note the door is still open for her to come and go freely, in attached pics)
Ken keeps saying we should have named her Velcro ~ b/c she sticks to us all the
time.
Her first night went pretty well... naturally she was more comfortable with someone sleeping close to her... so we took turns lying on the floor. We realize she has been used to snugging closely with her five sisters, when they slept together.
Fondly,
Diane and Ken, Marco Island,Fl.

Alexis experienced flying the friendly skies last week.  She did GREAT!!!  Ken says she is a real champion.  Never made a sound. She is the perfect little "flyer".   Ken upgraded all of us to Priority/Business Class to be sure we were all as comfortable as  possible.  The people at the airport cracked up about Alexis' Paws Port.  In fact, before we landed in Maryland ~ the flight crew presented us with a First Flight Certificate for Alexis... with the names of  the Captain, the Co-Pilot, and all of the flight crew.
Everyone falls in love with our little precious ruby.  Enjoy your holiday weekend.
Diane, Ken and Alexis

Hi Val
Yes, we have been enjoying your newsletters and those adorable puppy pictures on your website!  Your babies are so precious!!!!
Ken and I are making it a special day in our house ~ because it was exactly 6 months ago, that we brought Alexis home with us.
We couldn't be happier!!

Every single day starts with a gentle puppy paw tapping us at EXACTLY 7 o'clock in the  morning. We should just toss out our alarm clocks; we never have to set the alarm any more.  Alexis starts our day. Then she rolls onto her back and enjoys tummy rubs and having her paws rubbed. She weighs 10.2 lbs (same weight now for 2 weeks)

As I write to you, she is playing with a golf ball~ chasing it all over the tile floors. Such a curious puppy!!!

We trust you and Hank are blessed with good health; and are rewarded with matching up more people with their Cavalier King Charles baby.

We are forever grateful to both of you, for joining us with Phantom Alexis  (also known as Lexie) :-*

Hugs,
Diane and Ken

Val and Hank,

Henry and I made it home just fine...he wasn't too thrilled
for a short time, then he settled down and enjoyed a bit of sleep.  He is so so
adorable.  We got here, and I took him out to see if he had to relieve himself,
and he met a couple of the neighbor kids who were gaga over him.  He wagged his
tail endlessly and ate up the attention.  Right now, he is resting in his crate
with his soft blue blankie which seems very comforting to him.

Great
job delivering a beautiful ruby boy to me!

Teresa, NAPLES, FL.

Hi Val and Hank,

I just wanted to update you on Henry now that he's been with me for a couple of days.  He is the sweetest little guy, and he loves everyone.  He has especially bonded to me, and follows me everywhere. He is adapting to his crate, and when I cover it like a cave, he calms right
down.  Nights are easy, if I hear him stir, it means he has to go out (I learned that the hard way!  Don't wait for him to cry!)  I had a lunch date with a girlfriend yesterday and he sat on my lap outside at the restaurant patio and was perfect, and of course everyone who sees him is in love.
So, I'll attach a couple of photos for
you......

05/24/2013

Hi
He is fantastic. He sleeps all night by the bed in crate with no accidents. We leave blanket and stuffed toys in with him. He gets up at sixish with mark, potties eats potties plays then back in crate for awhile until I get up at eight and then potties and plays again.  Then sleeps on my lap until 1030. He has gone to lunch out with us, ridden in golf cart, gone to mall.
We do not leave for louisville until Monday on plane so vet will be set up there.  He learns very quickly and has many fans.

He is great. He has gone on a trip to Virginia to see his grandmother in the car five hours. Loved it. He will be going to puppy school one night a week for four weeks in August now that he is able to socialize. He has met his three cousins and love was all around. He is very spoiled with love but follows rules and directions well. It has been a surprisingly cooler summer here which has helped with his playtime.
Sending recent picture. He will come to Florida in September with us. Also he may go to California with us Labor Day weekend
Karen

Thanks. He is great. Travels everywhere with us even st barths. Training to be a therapy dog.  Karen

The girls are great, laying on the sofa with Uwe at this very moment.  Didn't want to eat last night, but did eat this morning. They slept well too, no crying.
 Cheryl, Crawfordville,Fl
Hi Val,

The girls are still doing good, I will be going to Tally early on Friday so they can see our vet for a double ck and schedule their spaying.
Lucy is still Lucy, and Reba is now Rosalie.
They are eating well, and sleeping thru the night!

Cheryl

Here they are sacked out with Dad a couple of days ago.  They are doing really well!  Cheryl

Hey Val,
Thank you so much for the photos and everything! We are so excited to see Martha and take her home. She is beautiful and her parents are so sweet I'm so glad to have found such a gorgeous puppy!
Thank you for everything.

Gabby D. FT. LAUDERDALE,FL.

She is a love bug, and cuddles nicely, but seems to be a bit protective when she's laying on one of my clothing items that she has pulled down.

She plays hard, and then naps well ! She is growing nicely and has been a great fit for my family :)

Cordially, Donna  Orlando, Fl.

Hi Val, Ellie is doing very well she is a chow hound loves her food. She also loves playing with her brothers, chasing them around the yard and furniture in the house.  Lynne & Christian, Naples, Fl.

Hi Val , all is well busy with season our jobs are crazy. Ellie is doing fantastic such a young lady she has become. We love her very much. Would consider your breeding program for a Blenheim female puppy someday once our 13 year old passes.  Thanks, Lynne

Beatrice has found her forever home with Anne and Charles in Naples, Florida.

Thanks so much for the pictures. I was so excited the day we got our puppy that I forgot what the parents looked like.     We named our dog Charlie ... He is just wonderful... Seem to be almost potty trained or it might be that we are trained, but no matter what....we could not  happier with our wonderful puppy.
Will keep you up to date on his progress.   Karen

We are very pleased with Charlie....he is a healthy and beautiful little puppy.   He is going to puppy school and is so smart.   When we take him to Pet Smart for school everyone thinks he is So cute and loving .   I will send you a picture soon.   Karen

Hi Val,

Mitt is still doing great. He sleeps well overnight  and is a great napper too! He's getting along well with the cat and loves all people! He's so eager to do hus best with the potty as well. Such a joy! Tomorrow morning he has his vet check so I will let you know how that goes.

Talk soon,
Helen & Rick, Naples, Fl.

Hi Val!
As you can see, Mitt is doing great. He took his first kayak trip today and was good as can be, and had a blast on the sand!
I can't believe how much he's done since he came home with us. He goes to the vet next week and it will be exciting to see how much he's grown...  Helen and Rick

WINSTON AND RUBY HAVE FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOME WITH JOAN AND FAMILY IN OSPREY, FL.

Thanks for the pictures Val.  Here's Tucker after a trip to the park. He hasn't quite mastered walking on a leash, and the round trip to the park is too much for him yet (about 3/4 mile) so he rode in a stroller with Missy trotting along beside.
Deanna, Bonita Springs, Fl.

Hello!

Me and my family just wanted to give you an update on Ava. As soon as we got home everyone instantly fell in love with her. She loves to be held and snuggled. We let her play in her play-pen with her kong chew toy  too! Ava also really brought some life back into our senior dog buddy. Buddy will lay down and she will cuddle up next to him! Again, thank you for a good fit to our family, and I promise we'll bring her back every now and then to see you.

ROSY HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME WITH DEANNA AND FAMILY.

We just wanted to give you an update on Rudy. He was an excellent car rider and slept most of the way home while we snuggled him. Stopped half way and let him have some water and he went to the bathroom #2 outside. Yay!
Got home, he explored his little area and he never played shy or seemed stressed at all. We gave him his space and he played with his bone and wanted to keep giving us kisses.
He went to bed around 10pm with all of the excitement gone. Woke up at 11:15pm and 3am and both times went pee. At 7am he woke up for the day, went outside for a bathroom try and then came in for breakfast. He went outside again and went to the bathroom and is now happily playing inside.

Thank you again for everything. The booklet of information you provided is great. I will send some pictures soon.
Just wanted to let you both know that Rudy's first night was great and he is very happy. :)

Talk to you again soon.
And Thank you! We all are in love.

Hi Val

Rosie is doing fantastic! Yesterday she was a little punky after her vaccination shot but bounced back by the evening.. She is eating well, gaining weight, playing well and training very well... We will continue to send you updates   MARIA AND BOB

Hi Val,

Rue is doing great! She was 5 pounds at her last checkup (3 weeks ago I think) and she has grown a lot since then. She's looking more like a cavalier every day! She's tall and lean, and getting a little curl in the hair at the end of her tail. It's so cute!

She has the most wonderful personality! She's calm as long as she's with one of us, and very attached to Gigi. Gigi loves her too and doesn't want her left out of anything! She's still a drama queen and squeals like she's hurt if you try to do anything she doesn't want done - like brushing her hair. She likes ice now (or again) and begs for it as a treat. I think she plays with it more than eats it, but it's cute.

She walks like a little show dog, with the pretty feet. And she loves to twirl around in circles! She also loves to slap everything and everyone! It's pretty funny! We absolutely adore her!

Hope you're both well! Sarah,RJ AND GIGI

Hi Val!
Josie is doing great! We are enjoying her everyday, and she seems to be adjusting more and more every minute.  She is learning so quickly! We are so thankful for her! Thanks so much for all you did and for the lovely pictures.  Rachel and Noah

Hey Val and Hank!

Josie is doing wonderfully! She's has grown so much, and is such a loving sweet puppy! Her tummy is all better, and she is doing great with house training. Still isn't ringing the bell, but we are still working on it.

Just wanted to say hi and update you on our baby Josie! We are enjoying her so much and think she is growing to be such an amazing dog. Everywhere we go she is the center of attention!

Training her has been an interesting journey! She is pretty much house broken already, but still isn't ringing the bell. We might put her an obedience class to get her up to speed before the baby is born. Her and gypsy are still getting to know each other and learn how to coexist! I am very hopeful that one day they will be good friends :)

Anyway thanks again for all you have done in the past for us when she wasn't feeling well. I'll try to keep you updated as this little beauty gets bigger!

Rachel and Noah

Ps-she is now 9.8 lbs :)

We are doing wonderful. I am amazed at the changes since Friday.  Dash is quite the entertainer when it comes to playing. He is starting to feel secure with his new surroundings and when he saw his reflection, he jumped!! Pretty funny.  We are so happy with Dash.
Susan
05/19/16
Sending you a couple of pictures of Dash taken earlier this month. He is growing so fast, we can't believe it. Now that Dash has all his shots, I have been taking him on short walks to get him familiar with the outdoors and we start puppy classes next Saturday!! This should be interesting!!  It is amazing how similar puppies are to children; I find myself comparing him with my daughter.  Dash has so much of his mother and father's personality.  He just loves to be loved and when he is tired, on my lap he wants to sleep.  Of course, that is fine with me!!
In summing up, Dash is everything I wanted in a pet and more.
As always, thank you for bringing Dash and me together!!
Thank you!
Susan
Hi Val,

It has been a few years since we last spoke but I thought you would like to see a picture of Dash. His birthday was January and he turned 5 years old.

I wanted you to see that he has grown up to be a beautiful little boy and very healthy.

We are now living in NC since retirement and enjoying camping in the state parks. Needless to say, Dash is not totally onboard, but enjoys the different smells on our walks.

Take care and thanks again for bringing us together with Dash.

I mean, look at that face! Thanks for the pics, Cabo is doing great! He is one happy pupper. He is getting used to going out to potty and we are all on a schedule now (even though his is a little earlier in the morning than I would like haha). Crate training at night and when we go out (which hasn't been much lately). He comes with us on car rides and is a perfect travel pal. He doesn't care to be in the playpen during the day when I'm at home but we are slowly trying to get him used to it. He has us wrapped around his paws already. We're very observant to his mannerisms to know what he's feeling...he's a simple guy really. Love❤️ Lisa

Hi Val,
Cabo is doing great, he really has the life. Hangs out all day, plays a little and naps a lot. We've been going outside in the early evenings when it's not so hot. Here is a video of him going puppy crazy. He has 932 high quality puppy toys and chew things and yet he finds attacking an old football the most entertaining.

Today he had his wellness and 12 week check up. He had to get his shot and was not a happy camper but we want him healthy...honestly I think he is milking it still LOL he's so SMART! All is well with him they said. We registered for the insurance and his chip of course right away as well as the AKC.
The vet had everything they need. He is the cutest little guy ever, he gets away with everything...but he's coming along with potty and crate training nicely.

You can post what you want from this email above about Cabo on your site as an update/testimonial, and this: "we just want to thank you for being such a reputable and caring Cavi breeder and will continue to tell everyone about our wonderful experience with you from the very start before our little Cabo was even born, to the day we adopted him. Thank you for helping complete our family, we couldn't be happier. You're the best!"
~Lisa and Jason

Hey Val. all is going great. Sir William "DUKE " of Cambridge is outstanding. He got perfect marks at the Vet. (They all love him and had to hold him).  He is the best car rider. Loves going to Publix and sitting in the car with me while Julie runs in to shop. He has slept through the night since we brought him home. Loves everyone. Is eating and drinking like a champ. But Cam is his main man. He loves Cam. We will keep you updated as Duke grows. He is perfect in every way. Thank you again.
Thanks
Scott, Julie & the boys.

Update...Duke has a play mate. Sir Bentley has joined the family.

Pat is a daily, no actually an hourly, blessing for us. He is the best puppy and is transitioning into a nice “teenager”. I can’t say enough about him. I have had many puppies in my life and Pat ranks among the very best. He is a good and regular eater, he was very easy to house train, and he is great fun to play with.  He is really great at walking on the leash. At night, we go outside and then it is straight into his house near the bed and, after watching to make sure everyone is ready to retire, he makes a few turns and goes to sleep. In the morning, he doesn’t make a sound until about 7:30 a.m. which, I’m sure, he has learned is my normal rising time. Then, we start another great day.

Pat loves our two cats, Princess and Kira, although Kira is very tough to love!  Even so, Pat engages both of them in play. Princess, who is 16 years old will play with him, but Kira, 12 doesn’t go for that stuff. Pat has learned how to play with Kira, but he knows to give her a wide berth.

We really appreciate all your efforts in getting Pat to us. I would certainly point anyone looking for a Cav in your direction. Your guidance and followup is excellent and we appreciate that, as well.

Hope all is well you and yours.

Bill and Irina

Val,

Good to hear from you. Thank you for your concern.  The terrible tornados were pretty far away from us to the southeast.  We just had a lot of rain and thunderstorms.

Pat is a wonder.  I can’t say he always cooperates 100% with the cats, but close to it.  He gets along with them nearly all the time, but, once in a while, he decides they are the enemy.  With us, he is always so eager to please.  He waits for OK to get on a chair or the couch AND he waits for OK to jump back down.  I can’t remember really training him to do that. His understanding of words is actually pretty amazing. I do talk to him a lot so I guess he is just good at picking it up.  Occasionally, if I let his little water bottle to go dry, he barks at the cat’s water dish and comes to get me to fill his.  He won’t drink the cat water but he makes the connection to use it to communicate.  All in all he is a great addition to our lives and we remark on how grateful we are to have him.]]

Again, thanks for checking in on us. Hope all is well with you folks.

Bill

Thank you so much for the opportunity to visit with you today about Bella. I cannot tell you how much we all enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful dogs and getting to know you and see your passion for this breed. They are truly regal in every sense of the word. All of the information you gave us is very much appreciated. We only want to provide the best possible environment for Bella to flourish. The fact that you are willing to care for her if and when we travel is a great comfort. I would much rather have her with you than with strangers. Being from a very small town in Minnesota I was very comfortable with the people who took care of our last Cavalier but not knowing anyone in Florida who I would trust with Bella’s care was a bit of a concern for us. We do not travel much, but do take a yearly trip with all of our girls and their spouses to Belize. We are thinking that the next trip will be the last two weeks of May 2018, assuming that we can get reservations and the timing works out for our youngest daughter who is graduating from college in Minnesota.

Neither of my Cavs have been allowed to run anywhere – they have always been leashed and right next to me at all times when outside. I do not believe in dog parks – way too many things that can go wrong in that type of environment. Our neighborhood has a leash law which is enforced at all times. We have been here almost 18 months and several neighbors do have dogs, mostly smaller breeds.

Our lanai is screened and locked at all times. She will not be allowed access to that area without one of us present.

As far as when she is ready to go, I want you to know that is totally your decision. I respect the fact that you will not let these puppies out of your sight until they are ready.

The last thing I want to do is compromise her well-being in any way. The transition to a new home is hard enough for these little puppies.

She will be loved.

Cheryl

Hi Vallie and Hank,
I just wanted you to know how much we love our little puppies. Roxie is such a joy! We call her our little “ monkey”, she climbs up onto my shoulder every morning for breakfast. She’s weighs a little over 5lbs now and has had her 2nd distemper shot. Rally is a total Cavalier in nature and loves to be cuddled and sleep on laps. He is a real sweetheart! Very gentle, dreamy disposition. Rally loves the outside and chasing tennis balls. Just the opposite of little sister Roxie who only stops moving when she’s asleep. Roxie is an adorable little clown who loves to make us laugh with her antics and is very smart. She took to potty training almost instantly.

Interestingly enough, Rally just loves his papa and Roxie’s favorite is me. So instead of picking out our own dogs we picked out each other’s instead. And we couldn’t have done a better job if had tried to do this on purpose, we both just adore our fur babies. My mom told me you had said to her that sometimes you wondered what happened to puppies when they leave there. So I wanted to give you news about these two.  Rally is asleep at my side and Roxie is snoozing on my shoulder while I write this.

I hope all goes well at your house and everyone is in good health. Thank you for giving us such wonderful additions to our family.

Sincerely, Pam Blume
Hello Val and Hank!!
We are getting on beautifully with our new family member. Boss and Chief have become great friends and the puppy is just amazing. Smart and loving, we couldn’t ask for a better dog. Thank you so much for raising such wonderful animals. We can’t remember what our life was like before him. He’s quickly taken over our home and hearts.

Hope all is well with you.

Best,
Deanna, Scott
Boss & Chief

Bailey will be six months old this Thursday, she has been a wonderful addition to our family. Goes out to dinner with us on several occasions and acts like the lady she is. The trainer has finished with her and she will leave it, stay, roll over , give us her pall and walks on the leash. I would say she is 99.5% house broken, when an accident happens it is usually our fault for not understanding her. Cannot not imagine life without her. Sleeps between Sue and myself but usually on Sue’s arm, you and Hank did a good deed to put this wonderful pup in the hands of two people who love animals. We go to your web site quite often just to see what is available, we always tell people where we got her and recommend you highly, for the best of the breed.
Right now my beautiful Bailey is sitting on the chair next to me, after all she is my buddy and every one on my circle knows her and loves her, always has a big greeting for all her friends. Bailey is the love of our neighborhood and cannot go for a walk without everyone stopping her to give her love and kisses. She is a kisser.
Many thanks for your note but most of all for this little joy of life, you an Hank do a great job.
Best of everything to you both, if we are ever on the west coast near you we will stop and say hello.
Sue and Jerry
What can I say about Val’s Cavaliers. We had a wonderful experience with you and Hank. Your knowledge about Cavs is absolutely amazing. We have learned more from you in just few visits than the 13 years we had our first Cav. Thank you for your availability when ever we need. Your flexibility with scheduling visits was well appreciated. We thank you for the time to get to know our Daisy Mae before we brought her home. Thank you for always calling us back. Thank you for being you. If your looking for a great breeder the Val’s Cavaliers are the best to help you decide which puppy will fit you best.
Thank you for everything,
René and John B. and Daisy Mae too!

Hi Val!

We haven't checked in for a while, so I wanted to reach out and let you know what a joy it has been to have Lady join our family. She is the sweetest and gentlest dog we've ever encountered, and we are so grateful that you allowed us the chance to adopt her. in March 2020. She and our son are the best of friends, although her favorite will always be Mommy since she rode home on her lap on Day 1. She adds so much light in our lives on a daily basis.

I've added a few pictures below so that you can see what a wonderful young lady she is. Thank you again!
Christopher and family

I had two Cavalier King Charles for many years. Unfortunately my eldest Finnegan passed away recently leaving Casey his companion of 10 years behind. We were heartbroken, we still are, but Casey was lonely, she had never known a day without Finnegan. Luckily I work from home and can keep her company but it became clear that she wanted a buddy. So after about three months of searching we found Cavaliers by Val.

Val clearly loves her dogs and the puppies they produce. After reading all the information her website and a long conversation with Val about an available puppy. I decided to reserved a beautiful ruby female pup. When the litter was old enough we drove across the state to their home and got to know the Ruby puppy we would name Georgiana. She was a sweet, energetic, and beautiful girl and we couldn't wait to take her home. At that meeting Val and Enrique provided a lot of valuable information which was appreciated because it had been nearly a decade since we had puppies in our home.

A short time before our pick up date I noticed Val also had a black and tan male available that I just couldn't stop looking at. He was the same age as Georgiana and I contacted Val about him. She said he would be available to come home the same day we picked up Georgiana. I reserved him as well with the hopes when we met he would be a good fit too. We'll he was and it was the best decision I have made in some time. He is on the smaller side but we gave him a big dog name, Rouge. When we picked up the dogs Val gave us everything we would need including food, harnesses, and paperwork. They told us to please call them with any questions and they are true to their word because we have and they have been very helpful.

As far as Casey goes it took just a couple weeks for her to warm up to the new members of her pack. She made her position know immediately. It took some time for the puppies to figure it out but now they are friends. Casey and Rouge cuddle up together on Casey's bed sometimes. It is very wonderful for us to see that she may have lost her best friend but she her heart is open to let someone new in for a cuddle. Even Georgiana who is so strong in spirit gives Casey kisses and has become closer to her these past few weeks.

Thanks to both Enrique and Val. It has been a hard year but our experience was wonderful and all is going very well. I would recommend them to anyone searching for a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.   Michael , Orlando,Fl

Please note.  Cavaliers by Val reserves the right to cancel or terminate at our sole discretion the adoption of any Cavalier from our kennel.   THIS IS NOT AN ARBITRARY DECISION, BEARING IN MIND THAT THE PUPPY'S FOREVER HOME IS OUR DECISION AND OURS ALONE.  SADLY, WHEN A DECISION IS MADE TO TERMINATE AN ADOPTION, THE FAMILY INVOLVED WILL PROVIDE A 'LESS THAN GLOWING' REVIEW' ON GOOGLE OR OTHER PLACES TO SEEK RETRIBUTION.  WHAT MATTERS MOST IS THE ULTIMATE DESTINATION OF OUR PUPPIES.  REVIEWS ARE SIMPLY AN OPINION, ONE WE CAN'T CHANGE, BUT UNDERSTAND THIS, OUR DECISIONS ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUPPY IN QUESTION AND CERTAINLY NOT INTENDED TO ANGER THE FAMILY.

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND, THESE ARE LIVING, BREATHING LITTLE CREATURES WHO NEED TO GO TO THEIR FOREVER HOMES AT 10 WEEKS OF AGE OR SHORTLY THEREAFTER.  A VISIT FOR A PUPPY IN ANY GIVEN LITTER MUST HAVE A DEPOSIT IN PLACE BEFORE WE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU.  WITHOUT A DEPOSIT, A PUPPY CANNOT BE RESERVED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.   WE CARE FOR THESE BABIES DEEPLY AND WANT VERY MUCH FOR THESE LITTLE TREASURES TO GO TO THEIR FOREVER HOME, THEY DESERVE GREAT HAPPINESS AND YOU DESERVE THEIR UNQUESTIONING LOVE.  MAKE CERTAIN YOU WANT A PARTICULAR PUPPY BEFORE YOU PLACE A DEPOSIT.  DEPOSITS ARE ALWAYS REFUNDABLE.   ONCE YOU HAVE PLACED A DEPOSITON A PUPPY, THAT PUPPY IS RESERVED FOR YOU AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE ELSE TO PLACE A DEPOSIT ON. FAMILIES ARE SCHEDULED TO VISIT AND FINALIZE THEIR CHOICE OF PUPPIES AT SIX WEEKS OF AGE  ON A WEDNESDAY,FRIDAY OR SUNDAY AT NOON. VISITS ARE FOR ONE HOUR.  A DEPOSIT MUST BE MADE TO SCHEDULE A VISIT. WE SCHEDULE VETERINARIAN AND SPECIALIST APPOINTMENTS THE REST OF THE WEEK.   YOUR VISIT TAKES PLACE IN ORDER OF DEPOSITS SUBMITTED AND  RESERVES THAT PUPPY FOR YOU AND ONLY YOU.  PLEASE BE CERTAIN OF THE COLOR AND GENDER YOU DESIRE, DO NOT 'SETTLE', THAT IS IMPORTANT.  DON'T REGRET YOUR DECISION.   SEE ''ADOPTION FEE'' PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION

IF A PUPPY IS AVAILABLE  AFTER 10 WEEKS OF AGE A DEPOSIT MAY BE PLACED AND IS REFUNDABLE UNTIL YOU'RE ABLE TO VISIT IN PERSON, SHOULD YOU DECIDE NOT TO ADOPT THE PUPPY THEN YOUR DEPOSIT IS REFUNDABLE.

After you have made a selection of your puppy, comes the inevitable 'we can't wait to get our new puppy home', and for you as the new 'parents', it may seem like forever!!  But still this is a very important time for you and your new family member.  Come and visit them, let your new 'fur baby' get used to your voice, your scent, your touch.  We want to accomodate you as much as possible, but with feeding, bathing, grooming and taking our Cavaliers to the vet, we have to ask that you try if at all possible to schedule your visit on WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY or SUNDAY a one hour visit, allowing you time to start to develop a bond with your new little one.  If that is not a possibility due to work/life schedules, we will attempt to accomodate a different day, these bonding visits are very important to the puppy's comfort level with you, making their transition to you and your family so much easier.  We'll have an area set up in our living room with more than ample room to let them wander around and stretch their little legs and for you to play with and handle your new family member.
