THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A CHEAP CAVALIER...

WHAT YOU SAVE TODAY CAN COST YOU DEARLY TOMORROW...

WE AT CAVALIERS-BY-VAL ARE COMMITTED TO PROVIDING YOU WITH A QUALITY PUPPY.   WE WILL PROVIDE LIFETIME SUPPORT TO THE FAMILIES OF OUR PUPPIES.                               WE WILL BREED ONLY HEALTH CERTIFIED PARENTS OF THE PROPER AGES.                       WE WILL NOT SELL TO BROKERS OR PET STORES.   WE FEED A QUALITY DIET OF FROMM PUPPY/ FROMM ADULT.  WE WILL ONLY ADOPT PUPPIES IN GOOD HEALTH.   ALL PUPPIES ARE UP TO DATE ON ALL VACCINATIONS, DEWORMING AS WELL AS VET CHECKS.   ALL PUPPIES ARE AKC REGISTERED, MICROCHIPPED AND WILL ALSO HAVE A STATE OF FLORIDA HEALTH CERTIFICATE.

I ask that you please read the following information before you email or call me. Please allow me to educate you on the price of a Cavalier.  Whether you adopt one of my puppies or someone else's ask yourself these questions:

 1. Are the dams and sires OFA heart and knee certified?

 2. Are the dams and sires CERF eye certified?~ If not move on.......Cavaliers are prone to have problems in these areas. You will be able to get a puppy for less money, but is it really worth it?Patella Luxation is something we do not guarantee.  The puppies are closely vetted and we can give reasonable assurances of the patella health, but since they are subject to environmental and traumatic injury, we can not guarantee them.

Now .... Does having all the good health certifications guarantee a perfectly healthy puppy that will live out his or her whole life problem free???  NO... it just make the odds greater!!!  Have the breeder show you the certifications. Or better yet look them up yourself. Go to www.offa.org put the AKC # in the search box and it should show you all the certifications the mother and father has.

Next.... Remember a good breeder will be there for you for the lifetime of your puppy.  So ask yourself... Do you like the breeder? Is the breeder willing to help you with house training, finding good food and suggestions on a vet?  Does this feel right?? If you don't have a good feeling about the breeder move on.....you are smart and your instincts are good!!

Here are some  RED FLAGS that you should be aware of when talking to breeders.

1. They will not let you see their facility.

2. They want to meet you somewhere other than where their dogs are housed.

3. The dogs are not AKC registered.

4. They ask for cash.

5. They do not have a written guarantee.

6.They tell you they have never had health issues so they don't check for them

All of these things are very important and should not be compromised!!!

Price is once... Cost could go on forever!!!

First and foremost, I breed for good health and longevity, then size and temperament

I AM HAPPY TO TELL YOU THE ADOPTION FEE FOR MY PUPPIES IS $3500.

I consider myself to be a fair and reputable breeder. As stated earlier. I breed for good health first and then good looks. All of my Puppies are the same price. All puppies are adopted with a spay/neuter contract.  I am in this business for the long term not just for today. What I charge for my dogs enables me to take care of them properly. All of my dogs are AKC registered and have had all vet recommended vaccinations for their age at the time of sale, vet checked and come with a one year written health guarantee, State of Florida Health Certificate and are microchipped in advance for your convenience.  Also each puppy goes home with a 5lb. bag of FROMM puppy food,  Nylabone or Kong toy and embroidered blanket. SEE WEBSITE PAGE ''PUPPY CARE'' for information about how to care for your puppy.

If you're interested in a puppy or would like to be put on my waiting list, please give me a call or send me an email .  It is important for me to speak to all potential puppy owners personally, as well as schedule a puppy visit.  Placing a deposit of $300    on a puppy assures you of your pick of puppies based solely on the date the your paypal deposit  is received.   If you are close enough to make an in person puppy pick, all the better.  If you make your choice based on pictures we post, your place 'in line' will be held.  Please understand, when you place a deposit on a puppy, that puppy is taken out the availability list.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DECLINE OR CANCEL ANY ADOPTION.   If you have young children , we suggest a larger breed or adult dog.  No one wants the puppy to be hurt but 10 week old babies can be injured easily. Cavaliers are a Toy Breed.  Accidents do happen.  Consider them to be a tiny treasure.  Would you hand a young child  a crystal vase or an expensive watch and say ' be careful'? Same applies with a developing puppy, bones are developing, puppy is growing the list goes on.  Cavaliers are great family members but puppies take a special type of care.  Please keep this in mind when deciding to add a furry member to your family.

WE DO NOT SELL OUR PUPPIES TO BROKERS OR PET SHOPS. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM A BROKER OR PET SHOP MOST OF THESE PUPPIES COME FROM PUPPY MILLS. ONLY BUY FROM REPUTABLE BREEDERS WHO ARE BREEDING TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND QUALITY OF THEIR DOGS AND DO TESTING FOR INHERITED GENETIC DEFECTS. WE DO NOT SHIP OUR PUPPIES.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) is a registry of purebred dog pedigrees in the United States. Beyond maintaining its pedigree registry, this kennel club also promotes and sanctions events for purebred dogs, including the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, an annual event which predates the official forming of the AKC, the National Dog Show, and the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.

The AKC is not the only registry of purebred dogs in the U.S., but it is the only non-profit registry and the one with which most Americans are familiar. Founded in 1884, the AKC is the largest purebred dog registry in the world. Along with its nearly 5,000 licensed and member clubs and affiliated organizations, the AKC advocates for the purebred dog as a family companion and works to protect the rights of all dog owners and promotes responsible dog ownership.

For a purebred dog to be registered with the AKC, the dog's parents must be registered with the AKC as the same breed, and the litter in which the dog is born must be registered with the AKC. If the dog's parents are not registered with the AKC or the litter is not registered, an exception may be made if the AKC determines, through special registry research, that the dog is eligible for AKC registration. Once a determination of eligibility is met, either by litter application or registry research, the dog can be registered as purebred by the AKC

The AKC does support several health research initiatives. The AKC Canine Health Foundation funded research that lead to the mapping of the canine genome (DNA sequence) with grants totaling more than $2 million. Sequencing of the dog genome began in June 2003, funded in large part by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and finished the completed sequence of the entire dog genome at MIT’s Broad Institute in 2005. Because people inherit many of the same diseases as dogs, humans can also benefit from health research funded for dogs.

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and the AKC Canine Health Foundation have established the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) to encourage health testing by breeders and provide breeders and researchers with information to improve breeding programs. More than 135 different breeds have specific health testing pre-requisites required by their parent breed club.

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND, THESE ARE LIVING, BREATHING LITTLE CREATURES WHO NEED TO GO TO THEIR FOREVER HOMES AT 10 WEEKS OF AGE OR SHORTLY THEREAFTER.  A VISIT FOR A PUPPY IN ANY GIVEN LITTER MUST HAVE A DEPOSIT IN PLACE BEFORE WE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU.  WITHOUT A DEPOSIT, A PUPPY CANNOT BE RESERVED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.   WE CARE FOR THESE BABIES DEEPLY AND WANT VERY MUCH FOR THESE LITTLE TREASURES TO GO TO THEIR FOREVER HOME, THEY DESERVE GREAT HAPPINESS AND YOU DESERVE THEIR UNQUESTIONING LOVE.  MAKE CERTAIN YOU WANT A PARTICULAR PUPPY BEFORE YOU PLACE A DEPOSIT.  DEPOSITS ARE ALWAYS REFUNDABLE.   ONCE YOU HAVE PLACED A DEPOSITON A PUPPY, THAT PUPPY IS RESERVED FOR YOU AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE ELSE TO PLACE A DEPOSIT ON. After you have made a selection of your puppy, comes the inevitable 'we can't wait to get our new puppy home', and for you as the new 'parents', it may seem like forever!!  But still this is a very important time for you and your new family member.  Come and visit them, let your new 'fur baby' get used to your voice, your scent, your touch.  We want to accomodate you as much as possible, but with feeding, bathing, grooming and taking our Cavaliers to the vet, we have to ask that you try if at all possible to schedule your visit on WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY or SUNDAY a one hour visit, allowing you time to start to develop a bond with your new little one.  If that is not a possibility due to work/life schedules, we will attempt to accomodate a different day, these bonding visits are very important to the puppy's comfort level with you, making their transition to you and your family so much easier.  We'll have an area set up in our living room with more than ample room to let them wander around and stretch their little legs and for you to play with and handle your new family member.
